About Paper Chaise

I am a woman of many “hobbies”. One day I am installing light fixtures and the next crocheting a scarf. At night, I can be out salsa dancing and then spend the next morning at the glass blowing studio. When travelling, I shop for furniture inspiration and fabrics. Photos, inspirations and ideas for each have been tucked away when their own corners of the world, waiting to be blogged. I’d been debating if I should have a separate blog for home design and another for my less power-tool-intensive interests like scrapbooking. I had to ask myself, why should they all be separate? I’ve been known use my table saw to cut acrylic for scrapbooking. I’ve built tables and then designed the tablescape for parties. In my life, my hobbies spill over onto each other. So why not in my blog?  In the end, they are all about great design and exploring new things. Now, they are all in one place. Welcome to Paper Chaise.

  1. I’ve been trying to find your album (and name lol) for a minute. I contacted several Nappt members. You are so inspirational and I’m happy I found your blog. I tried your fotki too…

I’m going to be starting some DIY projects this fall and I was hoping to find your photo’s. :0)

    1. AS you can see, I really haven’t been keeping up with NP and fotki lately. I know, shame on me.

What kinds of projects are you working on?

  2. I thought I would start small with a faux headboard for myself (some sort of tafetta) and my son (denim). I thought about four 2’x2 squares… I’d absolutely love to do build a platform bed and I plan on doing laminate flooring. Are you going to repost the work you’ve done on your house? Have you done anything lately? There’s so many people (woman in particular) that need to know that they can build too. You’re an inspiration. I hope you post more to your blog. I LOVE you’re work!!! Do you have a FB page?

  3. Aw, I thought I responded!
I was hoping you’d share your DIY platform beds again.
I plan on buying a few power tools and constructing some sort of headboard for both my room and my sons room using plywood, batting and fabric…
